HD Hyundai announces executive appointments, including 7 vice presidents; Shipbuilding division executives Lee Sang-hyeok, Lim Dae-jun, Seol Gwi-hun and Lee Cheol-hyeon promoted

[Financial News] HD Hyundai announced executive appointments on the 2nd. The appointments included the promotion of a total of four executives to vice president at HD KOREA SHIPBUILDING & OFFSHORE ENGINEERING CO., LTD. (HD KSOE) and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. They followed the appointments of company presidents and other top executives announced on the 7th of last month.
First, at HD KSOE, the intermediate holding company for the shipbuilding division, Executive Vice Presidents Lee Sang-hyeok and Lim Dae-jun were promoted to vice president. At core shipbuilding company HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Executive Vice Presidents Seol Gwi-hun and Lee Cheol-heon were promoted to vice president.
Also promoted to vice president were Lim Hyeong Teak of HD Construction Equipment Co., Ltd., Cho Jin-hyeon of HD Hyundai Oilbank, and Yang Jae-cheol of HD Hyundai Electric Co., Ltd.
Twenty-three people, including Managing Director Sim Seong-u of HD Construction Equipment Co., Ltd., were promoted to executive vice president, while 47 people, including Principal Lee Gyeong-won of HD Hyundai Oilbank, were newly appointed managing directors.
HD Hyundai said the appointments focused on maintaining organizational stability and business continuity while selecting key talent to secure future growth drivers. In particular, it emphasized experience operating overseas businesses and capabilities in AI-based business innovation and digital transformation.
HD Hyundai plans to hold its “2027 Management Plan Strategy Meeting” later this month, with presidents from all its affiliates in attendance, to finalize next year's business plans and execution roadmap.
