LH said on the 2nd that it visited the Mangwon-dong site on the 29th of last month, inspected the inside and outside of the homes, and checked their quality and move-in preparations.
Construction on the housing project began in May last year. It comprises two buildings, each with 13 stories above ground, and has 52 parking spaces. Mapo-gu Office station and Mangwon Station are both within a 7-minute walk, making public transit convenient.
The housing is intended for young people, including university students and job seekers. LH plans to complete construction by the end of this year and announce tenant recruitment in the first half of next year.
That afternoon, LH also held a performance review meeting attended by staff responsible for acquisitions and construction starts from its headquarters and regional offices in the capital region. They reviewed construction starts and acquisition results for newly built rental housing acquired by LH, and discussed regional issues and ways to improve the system.
Yoo Byung-yong, head of LH’s Housing Welfare Division, said, “To meet this year’s target for newly built rental housing acquisitions, we will strengthen performance management and ensure thorough oversight of construction progress, including construction starts. We will continue to do our utmost to ensure that as many rental homes acquired by LH as possible are supplied as quickly as possible where they are needed.”
