According to financial industry sources on the 2nd, Hana Bank will unveil its media façade, ‘Hana Canvas,’ on the exterior of its headquarters in Euljiro, Jung District, Seoul, today.
Hana Canvas is a massive media façade spanning floors 5 through 15 of the headquarters, with a total area of approximately 1,783 square meters. The plan is to expand the existing billboard and establish it as a downtown landmark linking Myeong-dong and Euljiro.
Hana Bank plans to use Hana Canvas not merely as an advertising medium but as a ‘financial information hub’ for delivering real-time financial information. Drawing on its dealing room, it will provide exchange rates and key indices, alerts on financial policies and indicators, and daily summaries of financial market trends. It will also showcase seasonal media art alongside branded content.
To mark the opening of Hana Canvas today, the bank will unveil an anamorphic video (using an optical-illusion 3D technique) featuring its advertising model, soccer player Heung-min Son, as well as new time-signal content. Starting on the 13th, it will present the Christmas video ‘A Winter Fairy Tale for Everyone.’
After a trial run, Hana Canvas will officially operate year-round from today, every day from 6 a.m. to midnight.
