[Financial News] Hana Securities is holding a contest to discover young people’s creative ideas for improving financial services and support their employment in the financial sector.
Hana Securities said on the 2nd that it will hold the 1st Hana Securities Youth Financial Ideas Contest.
The contest is open to participants without a finance-related major or experience, and entries will be evaluated primarily on creativity, problem-solving skills and the ability to think from the customer’s perspective.
There are three categories: improving the usability of mobile trading systems (MTS) and developing new customer services; creating synergies by linking online and offline sales; and protecting financial consumers and providing safe financial services.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old and have a high school diploma or higher; there are no restrictions on their field of study. Proposals must be submitted through the Hana Securities recruitment website by 5 p.m. on the 30th.
The 10 applicants selected through document screening will present their proposals at the final presentation (PT), to be held on the 23rd of next month. Their rankings will be determined based on the judging results. The total prize pool is 18 million won, which will be distributed among all 10 finalists in amounts based on their rankings.
The 10 winners will be exempt from the document-screening stage of Hana Securities’ entry-level recruitment process once within five years of the awards ceremony. Participants who do not win may also receive bonus points in the document screening if they meet the evaluation criteria.
Jeong Gi-hwan, head of the Management Support Group at Hana Securities, said, “I hope this contest will give young people an opportunity to showcase their ideas and abilities and to envision a career in the securities industry more concretely,” adding, “I look forward to strong interest and participation from many young people who want to think with us about better financial services.”
