[Financial News] A residential complex with up to 40 stories and 2,195 homes will be built around Myeonmok Station on Seoul Subway Line 7.
According to Jungnang-gu on the 2nd, Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on October 29 its decision on the maintenance plan and designation of a maintenance zone for the “Myeonmok Station-Area Urban Improvement-Type Private Redevelopment Project” around 542-7 Myeonmok-dong.
The site is an area densely packed with aging homes that are at least 20 years old. Under the maintenance plan, an apartment complex with up to 40 stories above ground and a total of 2,195 homes is slated for construction. Of these, 727 will be rental homes, accounting for about 33.1% of the total planned units.
The existing land-use zoning, a mix of Type 2 General Residential Zones (up to seven stories) and Type 3 General Residential Zones, has been upgraded to a quasi-residential zone. The plan is to develop the area into a station-area residential complex combining housing and everyday amenities.
A park of about 6,600 square meters will be created within the complex near Myeonmok Station and Myeondong Elementary School. A view corridor connected to the existing road network will be secured to enhance openness between buildings and improve the pedestrian environment.
Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, “I will spare no effort to provide administrative support at the district level so that the redevelopment project, a long-held wish of residents, can proceed without disruption.”
