[Financial News] Seoul’s Gangbuk-gu will provide four public rental housing units for newlywed couples without homes, single-parent families and others.
According to Gangbuk-gu on the 2nd, the units are part of a local-demand-tailored purchase-and-lease housing program being carried out in cooperation with Seoul Housing & Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation). They are the remaining units from the first through fourth rounds of the existing purchase-and-lease housing program for newlywed couples.
Eligible applicants include newlywed couples who live in Seoul, are members of a household without a home and have been married for no more than seven years; prospective newlyweds who plan to register their marriage by the day before move-in; and single-parent families with children aged six or younger.
The income requirement is no more than 100% of the previous year’s average monthly income per urban-worker household.
Applications are open from today through 6 p.m. on the 12th. Winners are scheduled to be announced on January 22 next year.
Unit and apartment number assignments are scheduled for February 17 and will be decided in descending score order based on the final move-in priority ranking. Contracts and move-ins are scheduled for March–April next year.
Gangbuk-gu Mayor Jeong Chang-su said, "We will continue to work to help newlywed couples without homes and single-parent families who are struggling to secure housing ease their housing-cost burden and build a stable foundation for their lives."
