[Financial News] DK-Lok Corporation, a specialist in industrial fittings and valves, has secured new supply orders worth 10 billion won in the North American market. The company is expanding its business based on demand for investment in energy infrastructure in the U.S. and Canada, while also broadening its supply base to include equipment for AI data centers, and appears to be stepping up its push into the North American market.
According to DK-Lok Corporation on the 2nd, the company recently signed contracts with major customers in the U.S. and Canada to supply instrumentation fittings and valves worth a total of 10 billion won. The amount is equivalent to about 7.8% of its revenue last year, and the products are scheduled to be delivered in stages from the fourth quarter of this year through the end of December 2027. A key feature of the contracts is that the products’ range of applications is expanding beyond existing oil and gas, refining, and chemical facilities to new infrastructure fields such as data centers. The products are key components that control fluid flow and pressure in various industrial facilities, and are used in fields requiring high levels of safety and durability.
As investment continues in LNG export facilities and natural gas power generation facilities in North America, the expansion of AI data center construction is emerging as a new business opportunity. In particular, demand is expected to grow for fluid-control components needed for data center power supply and cooling systems, raising the prospects for related industrial component makers to enter the market.
It is also worth noting that large-scale data center construction is being pursued in major areas, including Texas, in the U.S. An assessment is that the applications for highly reliable fittings and valves could broaden as AI computing facilities grow larger and the stability of power and cooling infrastructure becomes increasingly important. In Canada, too, LNG production facilities are being expanded and efforts to diversify energy export markets are continuing. DK-Lok Corporation’s strategy is to leverage a supply chain spanning the U.S. and Canada to expand its order base in the North American energy infrastructure market.
The industry viewed DK-Lok Corporation’s expansion in North America as an opportunity to diversify its revenue structure, which has been centered on energy facilities.
One industry source said, “It is worth noting not only the orders stemming from increased investment in North American energy infrastructure, but also that the company’s reach is expanding into new industries such as AI data centers,” adding, “Additional orders going forward and their actual contribution to revenue will be the benchmarks for assessing the results of this business expansion.”
DK-Lok Corporation has supplied fittings and valves to a range of industries, including oil and gas, power generation and plants, semiconductors, and aerospace and defense. Recently, it has been expanding its product lineup to include connectors used in AI data centers and seeking to secure new demand.
Noh Eun-sik, CEO of DK-Lok Corporation, emphasized, “This supply contract is an opportunity to strengthen our product competitiveness and business foundation in the North American market,” adding, “We will actively respond to changes in demand related to energy infrastructure investment and AI data centers, and pursue continued growth in orders across the Americas.”
