According to sources in the financial sector on the 1st, Hana Financial Group Inc. took part the previous day in the ‘2026 Autism Race,’ a running campaign to improve public awareness of autism and promote a culture of respect. The event was held at Peace Plaza in Sangam World Cup Park, Mapo District, Seoul.
The Autism Race is a running campaign organized by the Korea Autism Love Association, an incorporated association. Hana Financial Group Inc. has continued as an official sponsor for seven consecutive years, from 2020 through this year.
Around 100 people, including Hana Financial Group Inc. Vice Chairman Eun-hyung Lee, Group employees and their family members, voluntarily took part in the event. Employees’ campaign participation fees are donated in full to the Korea Autism Love Association to support autistic people. The campaign is based on the idea that ‘difference’ should be seen not as discrimination or a barrier, but as ‘diversity’ that enriches society.
Hana Financial Group Inc. Vice Chairman Eun-hyung Lee said, “It is deeply meaningful to take this step together to promote understanding of autism and a culture of respect, and to help create an inclusive society where people understand their differences and live together. Going forward, we will continue to provide genuine care and support so that autistic people and other members of society can grow together as respected members of our community and share in happiness.”
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group Inc. supports the independence of people with disabilities and practices environmental, social and governance (ESG) management. It continues a range of initiatives, including: △ establishing digital career exploration classrooms where students with developmental disabilities can explore career paths and gain work experience; △ renovating aging facilities and providing vehicles to support the healthy daily lives of people with disabilities; △ providing assistive devices for rehabilitation and learning to children and young people with disabilities; and △ offering job training and employment placement support to improve job skills and independence among people with developmental and hearing disabilities.
