[Financial News] Lee Ho-seon, a professor at Soongsil Cyber University who works as a counseling expert, shared the heartbreaking news that his mother had passed away.
On the 30th, the professor posted on his social media (SNS), “I send off my beloved, beautiful, and radiant mother,” sharing the news of her passing.
He remembered his mother as “a strong woman, a respected wife, a great mother, and a wonderful grandmother.”
He added, “I never saw my mother, who used to say, ‘Ho-seon, love is the only answer,’ get angry or raise her voice throughout her life,” and expressed his deep affection, saying, “She was always cheerful, always did her best, and was clear-minded and intelligent.”
He also recalled, “She was always studying, nurturing whatever she could, and serving everyone, and she took the lead in helping neighbors in need. When my mother laid a hand on them, even frail dogs and cats gave birth to healthy litters, and the dying plum trees and chili pepper fields yielded bumper crops.”
Finally, he bid his mother farewell, saying, “I send off my truly beautiful mom with longing. I was so happy to have you as my mother. I will grow old like you, Mom.”
A photo released alongside the post showed the professor smiling brightly beside his mother, who was lying in a hospital bed.

Professor Lee Ho-seon graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at Kyung Hee University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and earned master’s and doctoral degrees in theology from Yonsei University Graduate School. He later built up his teaching experience by lecturing at Yonsei University and Myongji University.
He has since worked as a communication expert and couples counselor, and currently appears on programs including “Divorce Re-Boot Camp,” “Lee Ho-sun’s Refreshing Relief,” and “Lee Ho-seon Counseling Center.”
