Cha In-pyo: “The late Choi Bool-am treated even those far junior to him as his equals”

[Financial News] Actor Cha In-pyo recalled on his social media on the 30th, “The late Choi Bool-am treated even those far junior to him as people equal to himself.”
Cha In-pyo said, “After the drama became a hit, it seems invitations were coming in for the teacher from all over toward the end of that year. One day, he asked me to come see him and then asked me to accompany him to an event he had to attend. ‘In-pyo, if you come with me this time, I’ll come with you once next time,’ he said.”
Cha In-pyo said, “That memory suddenly came to mind on the day the teacher passed away,” and mourned him, saying, “Many people found comfort and courage thanks to Father.” He concluded, “Thank you for playing the role of a father for so long. Goodbye. May you rest peacefully now, in a place without pain.”
In 1998, Cha In-pyo appeared alongside the late Choi Bool-am as father and son in MBC’s weekend serial drama ‘You and I.’
Choi Bool-am passed away at around 10 p.m. on the 29th while receiving inpatient treatment at a hospital in Seoul’s Gangseo District. He was 87.
The wake was held at the Asan Medical Center Funeral Home. The funeral will last five days and will be held as a Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation funeral. The funeral procession will take place at 7:40 a.m. on November 2. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Yeouido Catholic Church in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, with Cardinal Yeom Soo-jung officiating. The burial site is Donghwa Gyeongmo Park in Paju, Gyeonggi Province.
