[Financial News] Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation said on the 30th that it had received the Prime Minister’s Commendation for the Public Sector Overall Grand Prize at the 50th National Productivity Awards, held on the 29th at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
The National Productivity Awards are a government awards program hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Productivity Center (KPC). They recognize companies, organizations, corporations and individuals who have contributed to the development of the national economy by achieving outstanding management results through exemplary productivity improvement efforts.
After receiving a Minister’s Commendation in the Digital Management category last year, the foundation was recognized this year for its overall productivity management performance, demonstrating its organizational expertise and competitiveness.
Since the beginning of this year, the foundation has expanded financial support for local small businesses and microbusiness owners while continuing to pursue productivity innovations to improve work efficiency and customer convenience. In particular, it has improved work efficiency by digitizing operations across the board, including expanding the use of online platforms and digital service counters and introducing robotic process automation (RPA).
It has also used statistical and risk management systems to continuously monitor key management indicators and the risk of guarantee defaults, while strengthening both field-oriented policy finance support and fiscal soundness management.
As a result, the foundation maintains a top ranking in productivity per employee among regional credit guarantee foundations nationwide, and is also strengthening the basis for supporting local small businesses through stable funding expansion.
Foundation Chairman Kim Hyun-jun said, “This award is a meaningful achievement that recognizes externally the foundation’s sustained efforts to innovate its operations and improve productivity. We will continue to innovate our working methods and enhance our expertise amid a rapidly changing financial environment, establishing ourselves as a leading regional policy finance institution.”
