[Financial News] The Korea Financial Talent Development Institute is expanding practical training content for employees of financial companies, covering topics such as internal controls, financial fraud prevention and artificial intelligence (AI) ethics. It will tailor the content to each company’s training goals and job requirements, and support access through companies’ own learning management systems (LMS).
According to the financial industry on the 30th, the Korea Financial Talent Development Institute has unveiled its lineup of new and re-filmed training content for 2027.
The training is divided into general courses, certification courses and recommended courses. General courses cover whistleblower protection, systems for preventing financial fraud and providing relief to victims, internal controls at financial companies, the Act on the Protection of Financial Consumers, and the prevention of unfair trading. They also include training on door-to-door sales of financial products, AI literacy, AI financial ethics and responsibility maps, and the anti-money laundering system (AML).
The certification courses include Financial Ethics Certification, Accounting Practitioners’ Ethics Certification, ESG Financial Economics Specialist, Financial Fraud Prevention Specialist and the Financial Investment Test. Recommended courses have been designed to let companies choose according to their training needs and organizational characteristics.
The institute will also diversify how it supplies content. It will support the production of customized content for each company and provide test IDs so companies can review the content before adopting it.
A Korea Financial Talent Development Institute representative said, “Training at financial companies should evolve beyond simply imparting knowledge to strengthen employees’ practical job skills and awareness of financial ethics,” adding, “We will continue to develop specialized content that can be used in the workplace in step with the financial sector’s training needs and regulatory changes, and improve the efficiency of training operations by providing content in ways suited to each company’s training environment.”
Meanwhile, the Korea Financial Talent Development Institute develops content and runs training programs in specialized areas of finance, including financial ethics, internal controls, financial consumer protection, financial fraud prevention, anti-money laundering and ESG. This month, the institute’s Financial Ethics Certification Center held its “2026 Integrated Training for Compliance Officers in Charge” at the headquarters of Suhyup Bank for around 130 people responsible for compliance monitoring at the bank’s headquarters and branches.
