According to police on the 30th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station signed an agreement with Yeongjung General Social Welfare Center the previous day to build a “community integrated care network.”
The agreement was drawn up to support residents facing psychological and financial difficulties due to crimes involving personal relationships, violent crimes and other offenses.
The two organizations agreed to establish the foundations for an integrated care network and work together to provide psychological and financial support to crime victims. They also agreed to jointly use resources they have, including personnel, facilities and content, and to hold case conferences when necessary.
Yeongdeungpo Police Station Chief Yeo Jin-yong said, “There are limits to what the police can do on their own to help residents traumatized by crime recover their daily lives as soon as possible. I expect this agreement to bring the close support of local welfare services and help establish a robust Yeongdeungpo-style social safety net in which not a single district resident is left without support.”
