[Financial News] Baemin is launching a corporate social responsibility initiative to help isolated and withdrawn youths return to society. The aim is to give them a reason to step outside by delivering messages of support written by customers and vouchers for pickup orders to their households.
According to industry sources on the 30th, Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, is running a campaign with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to support isolated and withdrawn youths.
The campaign runs through the 6th of next month. Customers who wish to participate can choose either the “Checking In” card or the “Wishing You Luck” card on Baemin and write a message of support. Baemin will select 1,000 participants by lottery and give each a 3,000-won Baemin gift voucher that can be used for pickup orders.
The messages written by customers will be delivered to the households of isolated and withdrawn youths along with pickup vouchers. The plan is to encourage the youths to use the vouchers to place food pickup orders themselves and visit stores, helping them get outside naturally.
Baemin has continued its corporate social responsibility initiatives to support outdoor activities among people experiencing isolation through its pickup service. Since 2024, it has worked with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family to promote policies supporting isolated and withdrawn households and identify people who could benefit from them. That year, it received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare in recognition of related achievements.
Baemin has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seoul Metropolitan Government under the “Seoul Without Loneliness” initiative and is supporting residents’ outdoor activities and the formation of social networks through promotions linked to its pickup service.
