[Financial News] Air Busan has wrapped up an educational program to help young people in the region explore aviation career paths and develop skilled professionals.
Air Busan said it held a completion ceremony for its aviation workforce training program, 'Dream Campus,' on the 30th at its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, Busan.
Dream Campus was run in a general track and an advanced flight and maintenance track. A total of 39 participants graduated this year.
The young people who took part in the hands-on training were assigned to departments across Air Busan's major job functions, including cabin services, flight operations, maintenance, and management and sales. They performed practical work alongside employees in those roles, deepening their understanding of the aviation industry.
This year, Air Busan introduced pre-job training to improve participants' understanding of their roles before the hands-on training, and expanded and revamped the existing two-month flight operations course into a three-month advanced program.
Launched in 2021, Dream Campus is now in its sixth edition and is one of Air Busan's flagship educational giving programs, run in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency. It helps young people who aspire to careers in aviation experience real work environments, deepen their understanding of job roles, and develop clearer career plans.
