On the 30th, KGM said the project was launched to give students the experience of developing future mobility design concepts based on KGM's design philosophy, “Powered by Toughness,” and bringing them to life as physical models.
KGM accepted Kookmin University's proposal for an industry-academia collaboration in January and launched the project in earnest in March. The students completed their works through concept planning and research, design development, 3D modeling and painting. KGM's Design Center provided design feedback and model-making support for the six graduation works selected.
A total of 26 works are on display, including the six selected works: TRINITY, TAN, TERRON, DRUS and ZIP in the exterior category, and MADI in the mobility category. Reflecting KGM's design identity, the works present possibilities for future mobility design from different perspectives, with concepts including off-roading, harmony with nature and mobility that makes everyday life more convenient.
KGM expects the collaboration to help strengthen students' practical skills and develop design talent by supporting them in refining their ideas and gaining experience in building physical models.
A KGM spokesperson explained, “The company held graduation-project collaborations with Sejong University and Hongik University in 2024, and took part in the Seoul Design Foundation's university partnership program in 2025, among other ongoing industry-academia partnerships.”
The spokesperson added, “Through ongoing and diverse industry-academia collaboration projects, we will explore directions for mobility design from a long-term perspective. On that basis, we will broaden consensus around KGM's design philosophy and direction.”
