[Financial News] Hyundai Steel Company has released a brand film featuring the World Rally Championship (WRC) and the history of the steel industry. Through interviews with steel plant employees and WRC drivers, it highlights how experience and expertise gained on the ground are passed on to the next generation.
Hyundai Steel Company said on the 29th that it had released the brand film 'Legacy of Human,' made around the theme 'The rally may end, but steel is forever.'
The video was produced to juxtapose the growth of WRC with that of Hyundai Steel Company. It shows how experience built up in motorsports and steel production is carried forward into technological development and the next generation.
Hyundai Steel Company, which began in 1953 as Daehan Heavy Industries Corporation, has expanded its business into areas including automotive steel sheets and special steel since starting operations at its integrated steelworks in Dangjin in 2010.
Employees from the Incheon and Suncheon steel plants and Hyundai Steel Dangjin steel plant appear in the video, sharing their experiences in steel production and the technologies and know-how they hope to pass on to junior colleagues.
The video also features interviews with WRC drivers. In particular, it shows how durability-related data gathered in extreme driving conditions is used to develop automotive materials, illustrating the technological connection between motorsports and the steel industry.
A Hyundai Steel Company representative said, "We made this brand film to reflect on the significance of the employees' dedication and spirit of challenge who have shaped Hyundai Steel Company's present," adding, "We will continue to share stories of Hyundai Steel Company's history, technology and people through a variety of content, and work to enhance the company's brand value."
The video will be released on Hyundai Steel Company's official YouTube channel. Hyundai Steel Company plans to release a second brand film, 'Legacy of Steel,' in November, focusing on the properties and value of steel.
