[Financial News] Reconstruction of Dogok Samho Apartments in Seoul’s Gangnam District was completed 14 years after the project began. Raemian Leventus, which has more than doubled the number of homes from 144 to 308, will begin welcoming residents on the 31st.
According to Gangnam District on the 29th, completion approval for Raemian Leventus, in the area around Lot 540 in Dogok-dong, was granted on the 26th. Gangnam District Mayor Kim Hyun-ki visited the site on the 28th and personally handed the certificate to residents.
Raemian Leventus is a complex rebuilt on the site of Dogok Samho Apartments, completed in 1983. The former complex had two buildings, 12 stories above ground, and 144 homes; the new complex has four buildings, up to 18 stories above ground, and 308 homes. The reconstruction project began with a safety inspection in 2012, and received completion approval this year after a construction commencement report was filed in February 2024.
The district swiftly completed the administrative procedures for completion. It granted approval 27 days after receiving the application. That is about half the average processing time of 54 days for the four reconstruction complexes completed in Gangnam District last year.
The district plans to continue supporting residents as they settle in after the complex’s completion and to monitor the progress of other reconstruction projects to prevent delays in key administrative procedures. It also plans to maintain communication with residents and the association.
Gangnam District Mayor Kim Hyun-ki said, “I will work to make Gangnam a great place to live, so that these new homes can become a foundation for even greater happiness.”
