[Financial News] Seoul Housing & Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation) inspected safety management at six major construction sites in preparation for falling temperatures, strong winds and other conditions.
According to SH on the 29th, President Hwang Sang-ha visited major construction sites over two days, from the 27th to the 28th, to check for risks associated with seasonal changes and verify compliance with safety rules.
The six sites inspected were the Magok Complex 16 Public Housing Construction Project; the Magok-dong 1410 Public Housing Construction Project; the Sacheon Rainwater Pump Station Construction Project; the Songpa Creative Innovation Development Project site preparation works; the Hongneung R&D Support Center Construction Project; and the Godeok-Gangil Sports Park and Green Space Landscaping Project.
President Hwang examined work-related hazards caused by falling temperatures and strong winds and checked whether basic safety rules were being properly followed. He also listened to the views of site officials and workers and discussed ways to improve in advance work environments where accidents could occur.
He also checked the operating status of SH’s smart safety management system. The corporation operates a system that connects intelligent video analytics CCTV cameras and various smart safety devices to an integrated platform, enabling it to identify and respond to dangerous situations at construction sites in real time.
“Safety at construction sites starts with rigorously following basic safety rules and identifying and addressing hazards in advance,” said SH President Hwang Sang-ha. “I urge everyone involved at the site and all workers to make safety their top priority and work to ensure that voluntary safety management practices become firmly established at construction sites.”
