[Financial News] LS Group held a gathering with the CEOs of its key suppliers to share management issues and discuss ways to achieve shared growth. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation and jointly respond to a rapidly changing business environment, including global economic uncertainty and innovation in artificial intelligence (AI).
LS Group announced on the 29th that it had held the 2026 LS Supplier CEO Forum on the 28th at LS Miraewon, the group’s training center in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province. Now in its fifth edition, the event was attended by LS Vice Chairman Myung No-hyun and around 30 chief procurement officers (CPOs) from major affiliates, including LSCUS, LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd., LS MnM and LS Mtron Co., Ltd., as well as around 80 supplier representatives from C&S Energy, Korea Computer and Hanmi Cable.
In his welcoming remarks, Vice Chairman Myung said, “The solid growth LS Group has achieved over the years was made possible by the active cooperation and substantive collaboration of our suppliers. Geopolitical risks and AI innovation pose a crisis, but also an opportunity to take on new challenges. We will further strengthen our strategic partnerships with suppliers, secure differentiated competitiveness and chart a future of shared growth together,” he emphasized.
The forum also featured lectures aimed at strengthening supplier CEOs’ management capabilities.
Park Jong-hoon, director of the Knowledge Economy Research Institute, spoke on “Global Affairs and Economic Trends,” while Im Jang-won, a professor at Semyung University’s Graduate School of Journalism, spoke on “Leaders’ Data Literacy and Data-Driven Decision-Making.” LS Group also introduced government support programs that suppliers can use in their business operations.
At the ensuing “LS CPO-Supplier CEO Meeting,” procurement heads from major affiliates and supplier representatives shared plans for shared growth and directions for cooperation. They also directly raised difficulties and suggestions from the field and discussed ways to work together.
Lee Seung-hyun, CEO of Hanmi Cable, said, “I was able to gain management insights on issues that individual companies would find difficult to address, such as global economic uncertainty and the AI transition. Sharing concerns from the field with LS Group executives gave me confidence and trust that we can overcome the crisis together.”
Meanwhile, LS Group is expanding support for suppliers across various areas, including safety, technology and finance, through its affiliates. LSCUS is working to prevent industrial accidents by conducting joint safety inspections with suppliers, while LS ELECTRIC Co., Ltd. has contributed a cumulative total of 20 billion won to a shared-growth cooperation fund to support small and medium-sized enterprises in building smart factories. It also operates a joint labor welfare fund for shared growth worth 8 billion won and the ACE Club, a program to develop outstanding suppliers. LS MnM supports suppliers’ loan interest through a shared-growth fund worth 10 billion won and pays some supplier invoices in cash.
