[Financial News] Samsung Electronics said on the 29th, “Negotiations for the 2027 supply volume of high-bandwidth memory (HBM) have been completed at prices at the target level, and it is already sold out.”
Samsung Electronics said during its third-quarter earnings conference call that day, “Despite this, we continue to receive additional requests from major customers to increase HBM supply.”
Samsung Electronics emphasized that HBM4 (sixth-generation) sales in this third quarter increased at least threefold from the previous quarter, and that it had also met its HBM4 sales target as HBM4’s share of HBM expanded to around 60%.
Samsung Electronics added, “In May, we also became the first in the world to ship samples of HBM4E (seventh-generation) and received positive feedback from customers,” and “The competitiveness of Samsung Electronics’ HBM products is receiving favorable reviews.”
