[Financial News] Koscom Corporation received a commendation from the Financial Services Commission for improving access to exchange-traded fund (ETF) investment information and supporting financial consumers in making rational investment choices.
The company was recognized for helping narrow the investment information gap by operating a platform that provides free information, including returns, fees and distributions, for domestic and international ETFs.
Koscom Corporation said on the 29th that it received a commendation in the Financial Development–Inclusive Finance category at the ceremony marking the 11th Financial Day, hosted by the Financial Services Commission and held on the 27th at The Westin Josun Seoul in Seoul.
Koscom Corporation was recognized for providing key investment information on domestic and international ETFs free of charge through its ETF information platform, ETF CHECK. Launched in 2021, ETF CHECK provides information needed to make investment decisions, including ETF returns, management fees and distributions, through a mobile app and website. Investors can search for products of interest by theme and compare multiple ETFs.
Since the launch of Korea’s ETF market in 2002, Koscom Corporation has also worked to build the ecosystem for related data. It has continuously invested in providing underlying-index calculation services, securing overseas underlying data, producing investment indicators, and establishing business and technical connections among ETF market participants, supporting the market’s infrastructure.
Recently, the company expanded the information it provides to include costs investors actually bear and analytical statistics related to distributions. ETF CHECK is used not only by individual investors but also by asset management firms and the media.
Last October, Koscom Corporation launched KOREA ETF, an English-language-only platform designed to connect global investors with Korea’s ETF market. The platform features a dedicated interface that enables overseas investors to access the domestic ETF market, explore products and analyze them.
Koscom Corporation plans to use the platform to raise the global profile of Korea’s ETF market and improve access for overseas investors.
The company is also working to enhance its services. In 2027, Koscom Corporation plans a major overhaul of ETF CHECK’s user interface (UI) and user experience (UX), creating an environment where investors can more intuitively compare and discover the ETFs they want.
Koscom Corporation President Yoon Chang-hyun said, “This award reflects our efforts to make it easier for financial consumers to access the investment information they need.” He added, “We will continue to build on information that anyone can trust and become the go-to ETF information platform that ETF investors turn to first.”
