[Financial News] Samsung Electronics said on the 29th, “Building on our technological leadership in DRAM, we will expand sales of HBM4 (sixth generation) while beginning mass production of HBM4E (seventh generation) in the first half.”
Samsung Electronics said during its third-quarter earnings conference call that day, “We plan to ramp up HBM4E production in the second half,” adding that this was the plan.
Samsung Electronics expects some demand adjustments in mobile and PC, among other areas, next year, but also expects major hyperscalers to increase their data center investments amid the continued expansion of the AI ecosystem.
Samsung Electronics said that the buildout of AI data centers by its AI frontier customers will accelerate the development of AI data center infrastructure. It also said, “We plan to continue proactively pursuing our product mix, taking into account changes in demand for DRAM and NAND applications and customer requests.”
