On the 29th, Samsung SDS announced preliminary results, reporting third-quarter revenue of 3.7725 trillion won and operating profit of 241 billion won.
Revenue in the IT services division was 1.681 trillion won, up 5.3% from the same period last year. Cloud revenue within the IT services business reached 796.1 billion won, up 18% year on year, driven by the expansion of its artificial intelligence transformation (AX) business.
Within the cloud business, the CSP business grew 15% year on year as demand for Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) and the supply of GPUaaS (GPU as a Service) to the public and software sectors both increased. The MSP business rose 25% year on year as AX projects in the financial sector and ERP projects in the shipbuilding sector expanded, alongside the adoption of global AI services.
Revenue in the logistics division was 2.0915 trillion won, up 16% from the same period last year, as air and ocean cargo volumes and freight rates increased.
Samsung SDS is expanding its achievements in the AX business based on its “Multi-Dimensional AI Full Stack” strategy, unveiled at its enterprise AX conference, REAL Summit 2026.
In the AI infrastructure sector, it was selected as the preferred bidder for a large-scale DBO (Design-Build-Operate) project of at least 200 MW being pursued by Pacific Asset Management.
Through the project, the company plans to build a track record in DBO project execution and boost profitability by continuing to expand into additional data center projects, including colocation. It also began construction last August on the government’s “National AI Computing Center,” part of its push to make the country one of the world’s three leading AI powers. The center is under construction, with completion targeted for 2028.
In the AX and AI services sector, the company expanded its AX business in the financial industry, winning an “AI and Data Platform Development Project” and subsequently being selected as the preferred bidder for AI platform projects at insurance companies and financial holding companies.
In the AI platform and solutions sector, its AI collaboration solution Brity Works has recently won a project from the National Police Agency and is rapidly expanding across major government ministries,
bringing its cumulative user base in the public sector to 330,000. The company also launched Brity Works Cowork, an AI assistant that plans tasks on its own based on work instructions, searches and analyzes internal corporate work materials, and creates documents, further strengthening its AI service lineup.
In the security sector, Samsung SDS became the first Korean company selected as a pilot partner for OpenAI’s Daybreak Partner Program. It has since joined Google’s Fairwind and Anthropic’s Cyber Verification Program, strengthening its cybersecurity partnerships with global AI companies.
Global physical AI partnerships for future growth and acquisition of an air cargo specialist. Samsung SDS is continuing to expand its efforts to identify new businesses and make strategic investments for future growth. It is developing its physical AI business by forming the robotics partnership Team REX (Robotics EXcellence) with global physical AI companies including Rainbow Robotics and Walden Robotics.
In addition, last August, Samsung SDS worked with global physical AI companies such as Walden Robotics and RoboForce to validate robot-use cases at industrial sites that it had identified jointly with Samsung affiliates and assess their applicability. It is currently pursuing proof-of-concept projects at Samsung affiliates’ sites and plans to expand the scope of applications and the number of affiliates based on the results.
Samsung SDS also acquired a 100% stake in Woojung Air, a company specializing in air cargo consolidation, strengthening its air logistics capabilities. It plans to expand its air transport business, focusing on cargo originating in Incheon and cargo originating elsewhere in Asia that transits through Incheon.
