SK AX said on the 29th that it had launched G-Fit Studio, a solution that uses AI simulations based on real work to comprehensively analyze applicants’ problem-solving skills, communication abilities and AI proficiency, and support HR professionals in making decisions.
G-Fit Studio integrates AI throughout the recruitment process to analyze applicants’ capabilities from multiple angles and is designed to help HR professionals make decisions based on the results. The assessment takes place in two stages: “Business Problem Solving” and “Strategic Communication.” In the “Business Problem Solving” stage, applicants develop a hypothesis to address a given problem, structure the problem through conversations with an AI agent, and then come up with an action plan. The process records behavioral data, including what questions applicants asked the AI and how they evaluated and used the information provided to solve the problem. HR professionals can use this data to assess applicants’ capabilities.
Next, in the “Strategic Communication” stage, an in-depth interview is conducted based on the applicant’s personal statement and the proposed solution from the “Business Problem Solving” stage. The AI takes on simulated roles, such as an HR professional or a manager in a business unit, and exchanges questions and answers with the applicant for 30 minutes. If an applicant gives a brief or superficial answer, the AI asks follow-up questions such as “Why did you make that judgment?” and “What makes this better than the alternatives?” It also asks questions such as “How would you persuade another department if it opposed your proposal?” In this way, it helps HR professionals assess applicants’ problem-solving and communication skills.
One advantage of G-Fit Studio is that assessments can be tailored to the roles and work characteristics of each company, helping companies secure work-ready talent. Because all applicants are given the same tasks and assessed against the same criteria, the system can also provide a fairer and more objective evaluation. It supports multiple languages, including English and Japanese, making it possible to assess communication skills needed for tasks such as responding to customers and working in a global environment.
Another major advantage is that, because AI can interview multiple applicants simultaneously and provide information needed to analyze their capabilities, it significantly reduces the time and operational burden compared with the previous approach of evaluating large numbers of applicants one by one. SK AX used G-Fit Studio to conduct AI interviews during the selection of the fourth cohort for SKALA, its AI talent development program linked to recruitment. It took just six hours to assess the capabilities of approximately 1,800 applicants.
G-Fit Studio can be used not only for recruitment but also for employee development. The company says organizations can continually identify each employee’s strengths and areas for improvement to establish structured development plans, while also reducing the assessment and coaching burden on training staff.
Kim Min-hwan, who leads HRX initiatives at SK AX, said, “In the AI era, corporate competitiveness depends on how many people companies can secure and develop who are capable of using AI to deliver tangible business results. Through G-Fit Studio, we will support companies in effectively securing and developing work-ready talent equipped with AI capabilities.”
