[Financial News] KB Securities said on the 28th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Telecom Co., Ltd. (SKT) and joined the MOAI consortium.
MOAI is a government project that supports the public's use of artificial intelligence (AI). SKT's consortium is pursuing an AI assistant service that lets users get everyday information through conversations and access a range of services.
The two companies will explore ways to link KB Securities' financial AI technology with SKT's AI platform. They plan to discuss the scope of their cooperation, with KB Securities focusing on the design and enhancement of financial AI functions and quality verification, and SKT on platform integration and expanding user touchpoints.
Areas of cooperation include providing financial information and supporting personalized asset management. The companies plan to design services that make financial information easy for older adults and financial beginners to understand, and to review the accuracy of the information and the protection of customer data.
KB Securities is applying generative AI to tasks such as analyzing financial products and investment information and reviewing financial product sales processes. It also operates the financial AI agent service Kkaebi AI.
Park Jae-man, head of the AI and Digital Division at KB Securities, said, “This collaboration will be an opportunity to bring the AI experience we have accumulated in the financial sector into customers’ everyday lives,” adding, “By designing financial AI functions and verifying their quality, we will provide accurate, easy-to-understand financial information and support customers in making rational decisions.”
