[Financial News] Students currently enrolled in Duksung Women's University's cybersecurity program learned about cybersecurity systems in real industrial settings and strengthened their job-readiness through a site visit.
Duksung Women's University said on the 28th that cybersecurity students visited POSCO DX's Integrated Security Control Center and Command Center on the 23rd to learn about the company's security operations and information and communications technology infrastructure. The tour was organized to help students see firsthand how the theories they learned at school are applied in the field and gain practical experience.
The students examined the latest security technologies and monitoring systems used in real-world settings, including large-scale security data analysis, security task automation and AI-based anomaly detection. They then toured the control center and observed the entire process of monitoring and responding to security threats in real time.
After the tour, a small-group mentoring program with POSCO DX employees was also held. Students formed groups of five and spoke with employees, receiving advice on actual job responsibilities and the practical skills needed to prepare for employment.
Baek Nam-gyun, a professor in Duksung Women's University's cybersecurity program, said, “It was a meaningful opportunity to see firsthand how the security theories learned in the classroom are applied in the field,” adding, “Communicating with professionals would have been a great help in understanding practical skills and planning careers more concretely.”
