WEBTOON’s “Tyranno Noh Gyeong-su” is a slice-of-life healing drama that has captured readers’ hearts with its distinctive imagination and warm sensibility. Written by Hip-hop Sinseon, the series explores the loneliness of young people today and offers a message of comfort through its offbeat premise. It concluded after 74 episodes.
Tyranno Noh Gyeong-su was selected as a winner of “2026 Our Comics of Today,” one of the country’s three major comics awards, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Cartoonists Association.
Through the fresh character of Gyeong-su, a small, adorable teacup T. rex, the series offers gentle, wholesome humor and touching moments. The way the protagonist and those around them, worn down by harsh realities, connect and change through the dinosaur Gyeong-su gives readers warm comfort and a refuge.
The series realistically portrays the hardships faced by office workers and young people in modern society as they struggle through each day, while exploring those hardships through familial love and friendship, as the characters care for one another like a close-knit family. By focusing on relationships with loved ones and inner healing rather than material success, it strikes a strong chord with readers.
Lighthearted humor arising from small everyday mishaps blends beautifully with delicate portrayals of emotion. The profound dialogue hidden behind the cute visuals and the charming direction deftly balance the pacing in each episode, creating an appealing atmosphere.
