Korea Post Shopping to Hold ‘Paldo Market,’ Selling Regional Specialties Nationwide at Discounted Prices

The Ministry of Science and ICT's Korea Post announced on the 28th that it will hold the ‘Paldo Market’ event on Korea Post Shopping from the 29th through November 15.
The event aims to connect regional specialties with consumers in conjunction with the pan-government consumer festival, the Korea Grand Festival.
During the event, Korea Post Shopping will run a range of discounts and promotions, including a regional specialty discount coupon promotion, an imperfect-produce promotion, an online traditional market section, and a Taste & Try event.
In the online traditional market section, customers can purchase products with topped-up Digital Onnuri Gift Certificates and receive discounts of up to 10%.
It is designed to let shoppers buy products online without having to visit traditional markets across the country in person.
A ‘Taste & Try’ promotion will also let customers experience products before buying them. It will run every weekday during the first and second weeks of November, and customers can try featured products by paying only the shipping costs.
Customers who write outstanding product reviews will also receive Korea Post Shopping online gift certificates. Pal

Korea Post Director General Park In-hwan said, “As this is a consumer festival being jointly promoted by the government, Korea Post Shopping has also prepared a range of discounts and events that the public can experience firsthand.” He added, “Through this event, we will ease the burden on the public’s shopping baskets, energize local small businesses, and help support a recovery in domestic demand.”
