[Financial News] Heo Jin-su, vice chairman of Sangmidang Holdings, met with global business leaders in France to discuss ways to expand business cooperation.
Sangmidang Holdings said on the 28th that Vice Chairman Heo attended an event inviting Gellert Global Group’s (GGG) global business partners, held on the 18th (local time) at the residence of the U.S. ambassador to France in Paris, France.
The event was organized by Charles Kushner, the U.S. ambassador to France, to welcome key global partners of GGG, a major U.S. distribution company. Some 80 leading companies from around the world and about 130 representatives attended. Heo was the only Korean businessperson invited.
Heo engaged in in-depth exchanges with key attendees, including GGG Chairman George Gellert and Charles Kushner, the U.S. ambassador to France.
He also built networks with invited European companies involved in food ingredients and bakery production, laying the groundwork for cooperation to expand Samlip and Paris Baguette in the European market.
Based in the United States, GGG is a global food import and distribution group that supplies products to major North American distributors, food-service distributors, food-service businesses, hotels, cruise operators and food manufacturers. It sources around 4,000 types of food from some 60 countries and records annual sales of at least $1.7 billion.
A Sangmidang Holdings representative said, “We will continue to actively expand our global partnerships and step up efforts to tap overseas markets.”
