[Financial News] As AI adoption expands across the gaming industry, Megazone Cloud has presented a strategy for establishing governance to support the industry’s AI transformation (AX). It stressed the importance of an integrated management framework covering not only efficiency gains from adopting AI agents but also security, costs and access permissions.
Megazone Cloud said on the 28th that it had shared strategies for using AI in the gaming industry and directions for technological innovation at 'Games on AWS 2026,' which it co-hosted with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and GS Neotek.
About 450 gaming industry representatives attended the event, held on the 27th at DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo.
Now in its 13th edition, the event featured at least 15 sessions across three tracks under the theme 'AI for Games': improving operational efficiency with AI agents, accelerating game development using AI, and modernizing cloud-native architectures. Major game companies, including Nexon Corporation, Krafton Inc. and Kakao Games Corp., also took part.
Seo Gil-ju, head of Megazone Cloud’s Air Innovation Unit, presented a plan for building an AI governance framework to support AX in the gaming industry. The presentation explained that companies adopting AI agents for core operations need to assess their existing business processes and data environments and establish decision-making criteria, accountability structures and approval procedures.
Megazone Cloud also introduced an approach to centrally manage AI model usage and costs, access permissions, and security policies through its enterprise AI operating system (OS), 'AIR Studio.' The aim is to improve both operational efficiency and security as AI adoption expands.
Unit Head Seo said, "For companies, including game companies, to adopt AI agents reliably in core operations, they need to assess their business processes and systems and data environments, and establish organization-wide decision-making criteria, accountability structures and approval procedures."
