[Financial News] Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. ranked first in 14 categories, including home appliances, TVs and smartphones, in this year’s Korean Customer Satisfaction Quality Index survey. It recorded the highest number of first-place finishes across categories for the 18th consecutive year. Refrigerators have ranked first 20 times overall, while TVs and drum washing machines have each ranked first for 17 consecutive years.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. said on the 28th that it achieved these results in the 2026 Korean Customer Satisfaction Quality Index (KS-QEI) survey, organized by the Korean Standards Association (KSA).
The Korean Customer Satisfaction Quality Index, a measure for evaluating satisfaction with the quality of products and services, has been conducted since 2004. This year’s survey covered 121 categories and 369 companies. Consumers who have used the products firsthand and quality experts assess factors such as performance, reliability and usability. Rather than sales volume or market share, the survey examines quality based on actual user experience and expert evaluations.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. ranked first in 10 home-appliance categories, including refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, all-in-one washer-dryers, drum washing machines, dryers, air conditioners, garment care systems, system air-conditioning and heating, induction cooktops and cordless stick vacuum cleaners.
Refrigerators have been ranked first 20 times overall since the survey began. The flagship 2026 Bespoke AI Family Hub Kitchen Fit Max features AI Vision, which uses an internal camera to recognize ingredients being put in or taken out, and Food AI 360, which offers ingredient management and recipe recommendations.
Drum washing machines ranked first for the 17th consecutive year, while all-in-one washer-dryers took first place for the third consecutive year since the category was introduced. The Bespoke AI Washer detects laundry weight, fabric type and soil level to adjust washing, rinsing and spinning. The Bespoke AI Combo, launched this year, incorporates a large-capacity heat exchanger, a booster heat exchanger and preheating technology used before drying.
Kimchi refrigerators ranked first for the 14th consecutive year. The Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus Kitchen Fit Max features an AI steady-temperature mode that reduces fluctuations in the interior temperature based on usage patterns, as well as kimchi fermentation and ingredient-specific storage functions.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. ranked first in the TV category for the 17th consecutive year. Samsung Vision AI, featured in its new products, provides information about the video being watched, as well as weather, news and personal schedules, through a conversational interface. The TVs also feature AI Soccer Mode Pro, which analyzes match footage, and AI Sound Control Pro, which distinguishes and adjusts individual sounds such as voices and cheers.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. also ranked first in the smartphone, PC (laptop computer) and tablet PC categories. Yoo Mi-young, vice president of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.’s Digital Appliances Division, said, “This latest KS-QEI achievement—the highest number of first-place rankings—is the result of our customers’ unwavering trust and our continuous quality innovation. We will continue to offer differentiated home-appliance experiences that make customers’ daily lives more convenient and fulfilling, drawing on advanced AI technology and uncompromising core performance.”
