Boseong County offers up to 22% off Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates for Korea Grand Festival

【Financial News, Boseong = Hwang Tae-jong, reporter】Boseong County will hold a promotion offering discounts of up to 22% on Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates in conjunction with the 2026 Korea Grand Festival.
 The Korea Grand Festival is a large-scale national shopping event that brings together discount promotions from various government ministries into one event to boost domestic demand and invigorate local commercial districts. It will run for 18 days, from the 29th through November 15.
 Boseong County said on the 28th that it will hold a special discount promotion on card-type Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates during the 2026 Korea Grand Festival, which runs from the 29th through November 15.
 As a result, users of the card-type Boseong Sarang Gift Certificate can receive a total benefit of 17%: a 10% upfront discount when adding funds, the existing 2% cashback funded by the national government, and an additional 5% cashback supported by the Korea Grand Festival.
 A Boseong County official explained, "This special discount offer was arranged in conjunction with a nationwide consumption promotion event to ease the burden of high prices on county residents’ household budgets, encourage local spending, and help increase sales for small businesses."
 In particular, during the special discount promotion, customers who pay with a card-type Boseong Sarang Gift Certificate at an establishment certified under the Good Price Business Certification Program will receive an additional 5% of the payment amount back.
 The Good Price Business Certification Program refers to businesses designated by local governments that offer low prices and quality service and meet certain standards, including hygiene and cleanliness. Currently, 11 establishments in Boseong County have been designated and are operating.
 Boseong County provides information on the names and locations of certified establishments, as well as their main products and prices, on its website under “Boseong-gun County Office → Boseong Culture and Tourism → Food/Accommodation/Shopping → Good Price Business Certification Program Directory.” It also accepts applications for certification on an ongoing basis.
 The additional cashback under the Good Price Business Certification Program can be combined with other cashback offers during the event period, allowing consumers to receive benefits of up to 22%.
 A Boseong County official said, "We will continue to do our utmost to promote a culture of sensible spending, stabilize local prices, and revitalize the local economy by identifying more Good Price businesses and encouraging people to use them."
 Meanwhile, the existing discount policy for paper-based Boseong Sarang Gift Certificates will remain in place, while the special discount offer for card-type certificates may end early if the budget is exhausted.
