[Financial News] “Let’s continue moving toward the future together, unwaveringly, drawing on our differentiated technology and customer-centered wellness experiences.”
On the 28th, Lee Kyung-soo, CEO of CERAGEM Co., Ltd., which is marking its 28th anniversary, emphasized: “Today’s CERAGEM was made possible by the employees who have quietly dedicated themselves over the past 28 years across various areas, including offices at home and abroad, research, production and service, and by the customers who have always supported the company.”
Building on its technological expertise in spinal-care medical devices, CERAGEM Co., Ltd. is stepping up its push into the global healthcare market by expanding personalized health-management services that combine artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The company aims to move beyond its traditional focus on home medical appliances and broaden its business to cover health management throughout everyday life, making the leap to become a global wellness company.
According to industry sources, CERAGEM Co., Ltd. held a ceremony marking its 28th anniversary on the 27th at CERAGEM Seoul Town in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The event, hosted by CEO Lee, was livestreamed for service operators working in the field nationwide, as well as employees in research, production and overseas subsidiaries.
The ceremony featured congratulatory videos sent by employees at overseas subsidiaries and global customers, along with customer interviews. A large media wall engraved with the names of all employees and their years of joining the company was also installed at the venue. The company also presented awards to 136 employees with at least five years of service who had contributed to its growth.
CERAGEM Co., Ltd. was founded by Chairman Lee Hwan-seong in 1998. After growing by leading with spinal-care medical devices, including automatic spinal thermal therapy devices, the company expanded into a broad range of healthcare appliances, such as massage chairs. It now has a presence in around 70 countries worldwide and operates approximately 2,500 stores.
Recently, the company has focused on building an ‘AI Wellness Home’ where people can manage their health in everyday life, moving beyond the sale of individual healthcare devices. It is enhancing its products across seven health-management areas—spine, exercise, relaxation, beauty, circulation, energy and mental health—and developing healthcare solutions using AI and IoT technologies.
Another key strategy is to create differentiated experience spaces and service models for different customer groups. The aim is to expand customer touchpoints by offering services tailored to individuals’ lifestyles and health-management needs, going beyond the existing model of letting customers try products in person and purchase them.
To mark its 28th anniversary, CERAGEM Co., Ltd. is also enhancing customer benefits. Customers who purchase the Master V Collection, including Master V11, by the end of next month will receive an extended free warranty of five years. This extends the long-term free after-sales service (AS) benefit previously offered to subscription customers to regular purchasers as well.
