‘Father-to-be’ Seungri’s Girlfriend in Her 20s Wasn’t Pregnant Before Marriage ... Couple Has Registered Their Marriage

[Financial News] Seungri (36, real name Lee Seung-hyun), formerly of BigBang, was the subject of rumors that his girlfriend was pregnant before marriage after news emerged that he was going to become a “father-to-be.” He has reportedly already registered his marriage.
According to Ilgan Sports on the 28th, Seungri has registered his marriage to his non-celebrity girlfriend in her 20s. His wife is currently pregnant and is due to give birth early next year.
Although rumors that the pregnancy had occurred before marriage surfaced in some quarters after news of the expected birth emerged ahead of the marriage news, Seungri said they were not true. He added that he and his wife are not currently considering a wedding ceremony and that he is focused on prenatal care.
Seungri previously drew attention in an interview with Gray News when he spoke about responsibility, saying, “I have a family to protect.” The outlet reported that the two had set up a newlywed home in Seoul’s Gangnam District and planned to hold a wedding ceremony after the birth.
Seungri debuted as a member of BigBang in 2006, but in 2019 he was named as a key figure in the Burning Sun scandal, left the group and announced his retirement from the entertainment industry. He was later given a finalized 18-month prison sentence on nine charges, including habitual gambling and arranging prostitution. He served his sentence and was released upon completion in February 2023.
Seungri was previously booked on suspicion of threatening a man in his 30s with a soju bottle and assaulting him at a restaurant in Seoul’s Gangnam District last August. His side has reportedly denied the allegations, acknowledging that he held a soju bottle but saying he did not strike or threaten the other person.
