[Financial News] Woori Investment & Securities ranked among the best in the securities industry for medium- to long-term performance in individual retirement pension (IRP) accounts.
Woori Investment & Securities said on the 28th that, as of the end of the third quarter of 2026, the annualized returns on individual IRP products without principal and interest guarantees were 17.25% over three years and 8.05% over five years, ranking first among securities firms for both periods. The five-year annualized return rose from 5.86% at the end of last year to 8.05% at the end of this year's third quarter.
An IRP is a pension account used to manage retirement benefits and prepare living expenses for after retirement. Given the long investment horizon, it is important to consider asset allocation, investment costs and ongoing management systems alongside performance at a particular point in time. The company said, "This performance demonstrates our ability to manage pension assets over the medium to long term."
Woori Investment & Securities touts its wide range of product choices and lower investment costs as key competitive strengths of its IRP service. It offers about 1,300 funds and strategic asset allocation products, helping customers build portfolios suited to their investment preferences and retirement plans.
On the cost front, the company waives asset management and investment management fees on all individual IRP accounts. It also offers S-class funds with sales fees at the lowest level in the industry, reducing the cumulative cost burden of long-term investing.
A Woori Investment & Securities representative said, "The fact that customers have managed their pension assets by adhering to the principles of diversification and long-term investing amid market changes has led to this performance. We will continue to expand product choice, strengthen our cost competitiveness and make our services more convenient to support customers in preparing for retirement."
