[Financial News] Actress Han Ji-min, who donated 100 million won to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital last year, has become an ambassador for the Seoul National University Hospital Development Fund. After visiting the hospital with her family and meeting sick children who stayed on her mind, Han decided to make a donation. She will now work to raise awareness of medical philanthropy.
Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 28th that Han Ji-min had been appointed an ambassador for its Development Fund on the 23rd. The 100 million won she donated in December last year is being used to help cover treatment costs for children from low-income families.
Han Ji-min won acting awards in the film category at the Blue Dragon Film Awards and the Baeksang Arts Awards for the film ‘Miss Baek,’ and appeared in dramas including ‘The Light in Your Eyes’ and ‘Our Blues.’ She has continued her charitable giving and social contribution activities.
Han Ji-min is set to serve as an ambassador alongside actor Choi Woo-shik, who was recently reappointed, raising awareness of the importance of giving in the medical field and helping to spread a culture of sharing.
Han Ji-min said, “The children I met at the hospital stayed on my mind, and I wanted to help, even in a small way.” She added, “As an ambassador, I’ll gladly take part in anything I can do to help, and I’ll actively support the Development Fund’s many activities.”
Established in 2005, the Seoul National University Hospital Development Fund supports the hospital’s education, research, patient care and public healthcare, and runs a range of charitable programs, including helping patients facing financial hardship.
