WebCash Corporation links K-EXAONE to financial AI agents, joins the Independent AI Foundation Model project

[Financial News] WebCash Corporation, a financial artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on the 28th that it will join a consortium led by LG AI Research and develop and validate AI agents specialized for financial operations as part of the Independent AI Foundation Model project.
The Independent AI Foundation Model project is a national AI initiative spearheaded by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA) to secure competitiveness in homegrown AI models and expand the domestic AI ecosystem. LG AI Research is advancing its model and working to apply it in industrial settings based on its internally developed K-EXAONE.
WebCash Corporation is participating in the project, drawing on its domain expertise in corporate treasury management and its financial AI technology. It will link its OPERIA platform with K-EXAONE to develop AI agents for corporate treasury management and financial institutions’ management information systems. OPERIA is an intelligent relational database (RDB) connector that automatically converts natural-language questions into database query language (SQL) to retrieve data, and can be integrated with multiple large language models (LLMs).
The company is expanding its financial AI business for financial institutions, public institutions and companies, offering treasury management agents as well as Agent Banking, AI MIS, Fiscal AX and Accounting 365, among other services based on OPERIA.
WebCash Corporation CEO Kang Won-ju said, “For AI to create value in industrial settings, it is important to understand business operations and use data accurately,” adding, “By combining K-EXAONE with WebCash Corporation’s financial AI technology, we will contribute to expanding the domestic AI ecosystem.”
