[Financial News] Kumon Learning said on the 28th that it held the '2026 Kumon Math Outstanding Member Recognition Test,' organized to foster mathematical talent, on the 24th and concluded it successfully.
Around 49,000 preschool and middle school members who had studied Kumon Math for at least a year and were at least two levels ahead of the regular curriculum took part and tested their skills. The event was held in a lively atmosphere, with preschool members aged 7–8 taking questions at the level of second-year middle school students and around 300 elementary school students challenging high-school-level material.
A total of 67 students who achieved excellent results were selected as scholarship recipients, and scholarships totaling 125 million won will be awarded. Individual results are scheduled to be announced to each participant on November 13.
Now in its 27th edition, the Kumon Math Outstanding Member Recognition Test is a talent-development program that provides high-achieving participants with university entrance scholarships and other support. The cumulative number of test-takers has reached 870,000 as of this year, and scholarships totaling 1.7 billion won have been awarded to 545 recipients to date.
A Kumon Learning representative said, "We will continue to support the development of mathematical talent so that our members can set challenging goals, gain a sense of accomplishment, and grow."
