[Financial News] Shopping NT, the T-commerce channel operated by TRN Co., Ltd., a media affiliate of Taekwang Group, is strengthening its fall/winter (FW) product lineup around global fashion brands as retro fashion gains popularity.
According to industry sources on the 28th, Shopping NT has expanded its offerings for this year's FW season from global fashion brands with long histories and strong brand recognition, including Columbia Pictures, Millet Golf, Jack Nicklaus, Wolsey and Benetton. As retro fashion—reinterpreting past designs and brands' distinctive sensibilities in a modern way—has recently drawn attention, the products stand out for highlighting each brand's character while enhancing their materials, functionality and fit.
Outdoor brand Columbia Pictures is introducing a jacket made with triple-layer fabric that offers water repellency, wind resistance and UV protection, with different linings for different parts of the body. Millet Golf is launching the 'Tube Swing Jacket' and 'In-Quilting Down Jacket,' filled with goose down and duck down, respectively. The Tube Swing Jacket has improved interior finishing and a six-layer construction to enhance functionality.
Jack Nicklaus is introducing three styles of bonded pants that can be worn both on the golf course and in everyday life. Brushed fabric provides warmth while enhancing mobility. Benetton is launching three pullover sweater styles featuring the brand's signature bold colors and logo. Three-dimensional embroidery and jacquard knitting set the designs apart.
Shopping NT plans to continue expanding its offerings by combining the recognition and identity of heritage fashion brands with modern functionality and design. It aims to build a distinctive competitive edge in the home-shopping fashion market by enhancing not only price competitiveness but also brand value and product quality.
Ahn Ji-hyun, head of Shopping NT's Product Business Division 1, said, “With retro fashion recently drawing attention, brands with a long history and distinctive character are once again gaining interest. In line with this trend, Shopping NT will offer products that combine the value of heritage brands with modern materials, functionality and design, and continue to improve quality and customer satisfaction in ways customers can experience firsthand.”
