[Breaking] SK hynix: “HBM4E sample deliveries completed in Q2; development and evaluation progressing smoothly”

[Financial News]  SK hynix said on the 28th that sample deliveries of HBM4E, a high-performance memory for AI, were completed in the second quarter, and that development and evaluation were proceeding smoothly in line with customer schedules.
At its third-quarter earnings call that day, SK hynix said that it expects custom HBM optimized for each customer’s systems and workloads to become increasingly important alongside a stable supply of standard HBM, and that it is working closely with key customers on related projects.
SK hynix also emphasized that it expects HBM4 to surpass HBM3E in both shipment volume and share of revenue in the fourth quarter, adding that mass production is proceeding without disruption and yields are quite stable.
SK hynix said that HBM4 had exceeded its planned yield, prompting it to raise its target, and that HBM3E had also surpassed the mature yield originally planned. It added that it is now focused on maximizing productivity to meet strong customer demand.
