SK Telecom said on the 28th that it will exclusively rent a theater for one performance of the musical 'Chicago' on Dec. 8 and hold 'T Long-term Customer Program Musical Day.' A total of 1,299 people, including long-term subscribers and their guests, will be invited.
Choi Jung-won will appear as Velma and Ivy as Roxie in that performance. This is the first time the two actors will perform together onstage this season. After the show, cast members will hold a stage greeting for SK Telecom's long-term subscribers, and gifts and on-site events will also be offered to audience members.
SK Telecom plans to assign seats based on subscription tenure. The aim is to let subscribers who have been with the company longer watch the performance from seats closer to the stage.
Long-term subscribers who wish to participate can apply through the event page in the 'T Long-term Customer' section of the T Membership app, choosing to attend alone or with one guest. Applications are open through Nov. 17.
This year, SK Telecom revamped the name and operating structure of its 'T Long-term Customer Program' and made related benefits directly accessible from the T Membership app home screen. It is also continuing events for long-term subscribers, including 'Forest Getaway Day,' 'Table Day' and 'Adventure Day.'
SK Telecom said the average monthly search volume for long-term subscriber programs on major domestic portals and the number of visitors to the promotional page during the application period for 'T Long-term Customer Day' had more than doubled from last year. In a survey of customers who attended this year's events, satisfaction with the events, willingness to recommend them and intention to continue using SK Telecom all exceeded 90%. The churn rate among event attendees was found to be nearly 50% lower than among subscribers who did not attend.
SK Telecom ranked first in the mobile phone category in the Korea Customer Satisfaction Index (KCSI) survey announced last month. Customer satisfaction with benefits for long-term subscribers also rose significantly from the previous year.
Yoon Jae-woong, head of SKT's Product & Brand Division, said, "It is all the more meaningful to present a performance by actors who have shared in the history of a production to long-term customers who have been with SKT for so long," adding, "We will continue to expand differentiated experiences and benefits so SKT can become a company customers 'want to stay with longer.'"
