[Financial News] Singer Hyeeun Lee confessed that while she was married to actor Kim Dong-hyun, there was a time when she even disliked the smell of her husband's cologne. She later realized she had brought up her ex-husband during a live broadcast and apologized.
On the 24th, Hyeeun Lee held a live broadcast on her YouTube channel for the first time in 80 days and chatted with fans.
During the broadcast, Hyeeun Lee recalled giving cologne to her ex-husband, Kim Dong-hyun. She began recounting what happened: “I have a little secret. Before I divorced Kim Dong-hyun, I once bought him cologne when I married him because I loved him.”
But as married life became difficult, she said she even came to dislike the smell of the cologne she had given him. Hyeeun Lee confessed, “When things were hard and difficult, the smell of that cologne really irritated me, and I hated it. So I changed his cologne.”
She reportedly did not tell Kim Dong-hyun directly why she changed his cologne. Hyeeun Lee said, “When I changed his cologne, I didn’t tell him why. I just said, ‘This is a new fragrance, and it’s nice,’ and told him to try it.”
After bringing up something personal about her ex-husband, Hyeeun Lee immediately became flustered, saying, “I shouldn’t say things like this, but when I’m doing a live broadcast, sometimes things I don’t want to talk about just come out.” She then apologized, saying, “Kim Dong-hyun, I’m sorry.”
In 1984, Hyeeun Lee married a businessman older than her and had a daughter, but they divorced four years later. In 1990, Hyeeun Lee remarried, this time to actor Kim Dong-hyun, and had a son, but the two ended their marriage in 2019.
Hyeeun Lee had previously said that she took on approximately 20 billion won in debt resulting from Kim Dong-hyun’s repeated business failures. She said that while repaying the debt, she sold five apartments in the 50-pyeong range, as well as her mother’s house.
