[Financial News] Ewha Womans University said on the 27th that it will hold ‘K-MOOC Open Special Lectures’ on campus starting November 3 for the general public and enrolled students. The event is designed to let participants attend in person and engage with professors while experiencing firsthand the university’s outstanding lectures, previously available online.
The special lectures will cover three fields closely connected to everyday life—law, sociology and positive psychology—and will be held over three sessions.
The first lecture, at 5 p.m. on November 3, will be given by Professor Seo Ul-oh of the Department of Law, who will clearly explain legal knowledge that is useful in everyday life under the title ‘Key Aspects of Civil Law Through Case Studies.’ Then, on the 10th, Professor Lee Joo-hee of the Department of Sociology will examine the issue of low birth rates and how social structures need to change, under the title ‘Work and Organizations That Need to Change.’
On the final day, the 11th, Professor Oh In-soo of the Department of Education will give a lecture titled ‘Understanding and Using Character Strengths.’ The first 50 people among those who register in advance will receive a free code for a personality-type test to identify their personality traits and strengths.
The special lectures are free and open not only to Ewha Womans University students but also to anyone interested. Those who wish to attend can register in advance through the QR code on the poster by November 2.
The university’s Center for Educational Innovation said, “This will provide an opportunity to experience firsthand, offline, content people have been encountering online,” and explained, “We will share the university’s educational resources with society and continue to expand lifelong learning opportunities.”
