[Financial News] LX International received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award in the “Strong Support for Childbirth and Child-Rearing” category at the “2026 Awards for Companies That Are Good Places to Raise Children,” held at Bankers' Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 27th.
The award recognizes the effectiveness of the support system LX International has established across the entire process of pregnancy, childbirth and child-rearing, as well as its efforts to foster a family-friendly corporate culture. The award was based on the results of the “2026 Evaluation of Outstanding Companies Responding to the Population Crisis,” conducted by the Korean Peninsula Future Population Institute among 300 companies in Korea using publicly available materials, including sustainability reports.
LX International operates various childbirth support programs, including reduced working hours during pregnancy, leave for infertility treatment, spousal leave for childbirth and congratulatory payments for childbirth.
Through childcare leave, reduced working hours during the childcare period and family care leave, LX International supports employees in balancing work and family. It has also established a welfare system that supports children throughout their growth, including operating workplace childcare centers and providing tuition assistance.
LX International continues its efforts to create a family-friendly work environment. The number of employees using flexible work arrangements has steadily increased over the past three years, and return to work after childcare leave and continued employment have also remained stable.
Through these efforts, LX International has maintained the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family's “Family-Friendly Certification,” obtained in 2021, for the fifth consecutive year.
Lee Young-joo, LX International's CHO (chief human resources officer and director), said, “This award is a meaningful achievement that our employees have created together,” adding, “We will go beyond simply putting systems in place and build a family-friendly culture that employees can genuinely experience and make use of.”
