[Financial News] The process of selecting iM Financial Holdings' next chair has moved into full swing.
According to iM Financial on the 27th, the Chair Candidate Recommendation Committee (CRC) held a meeting that day and finalized a longlist of six candidates for the next chief executive officer (CEO).
The CRC began the management succession process on the 28th of last month and spent about four weeks conducting first-stage screening and evaluations of internal and external standing candidate pools. Based on applications and supporting documents, it checked candidates' qualifications and comprehensively reviewed reputation-check results from external professional agencies, key management performance, financial-sector expertise, leadership, and ethical and responsible management.
However, the committee decided not to disclose the longlist of candidates, citing the need to protect personal information and ensure the independence of future evaluations.
With the longlist finalized, iM Financial's next-chair selection process has entered the second stage of screening. In-depth interviews will be held over the next four weeks or so. Independent directors will assess candidates' management philosophy, vision for the group's future, leadership, and management capabilities. External experts will also evaluate three core competencies: financial-sector expertise, organizational and leadership skills, and strategic thinking.
CRC Chair Jo Gang-rae said, "In selecting the longlist, we focused on standardizing the format of the documents submitted by each candidate and using reputation information from external professional agencies to improve the objectivity and fairness of the evaluation."
Meanwhile, the CRC plans to finalize the shortlist at the end of next month and recommend a final candidate this December.
