[Financial News] Gissen by Kwak Hyun Joo, the designer brand of Samsung C&T Fashion Group, collaborated on outfits for “D'Festa: The Origin,” an exhibition spotlighting 48 K-pop artists.
According to industry sources on the 27th, the exhibition is a project showcasing the artists in diverse ways through photography, video, fashion and art, extending beyond music and performances.
Gissen by Kwak Hyun Joo made its presence felt with black outfits, a defining element of its brand identity.
The key looks use leather and precise tailoring, combining contrasting pieces to embody the brand's philosophy of breaking down boundaries of gender and form.
The exhibition will run through the end of next month at the MPX Gallery in the North Atrium on Level 3 of IFC Mall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo District. Following its Seoul run, it is scheduled to travel to major cities around the world, including Tokyo, in January next year.
Vice President Doucan, the Creative Director of Gissen by Kwak Hyun Joo, said, “Black is Gissen by Kwak Hyun Joo's design language, clearly revealing differences in form and proportion. Through it, we brought the worldview of this exhibition to life in three-dimensional garments,” adding, “We will continue to expand our influence in the global fashion market by engaging with diverse cultures around the world.”
