[Financial News] The Korea Industrial Technology Association (KOITA) announced that it held the “2026 4th KOITA Innovation Technology Forum” on the 27th at Orche Hall in El Tower, Yangjae-dong, Seoul.
The KOITA Innovation Technology Forum is an annual event jointly organized by four of KOITA’s business networking groups—the National Council of Research Institute Directors, the CTO Club, the New Technology Business Council and the CEO Club. It aims to share trends in advanced technology and corporate innovation cases, and to expand networking and cooperation among companies. About 200 businesspeople, including representatives of technology-innovative companies and heads of research institutes, attended this year’s forum.
This year, with artificial intelligence (AI) technology emerging as a key driver of productivity and competitiveness across industries, the forum selected “A Future Productivity Revolution Led by AX (AI Transformation)” as its overarching theme. In particular, it focused on exploring ways to implement AX that go beyond simply adopting AI technology to improve companies’ operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities, and deliver tangible results from research and development through the production floor.
The forum opened with a keynote address by Lee Jeong-tae, head of AI technology at Naver Cloud, on “How to Turn Intelligence into an Industry.” Lee examined how advances in AI technology affect the way companies work and their productivity, and outlined ways to drive future productivity innovation through the use of AI across organizations.
Next, Mun Seong-su, CEO of ANSYS Korea, presented case studies on design and development innovation based on AI agents under the theme “Strengthening Co-Design Capabilities Through AI.” Shin Tae-min, head of research at IBEX Medical Systems, shared perspectives on the potential for combining medical technology and AI under the theme “HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Equipment) and AX.”
Sung-Geun Song, CEO of IL, then presented on the use of physical AI in manufacturing and its future development under the theme “The Future of Manufacturing Transformed by Physical AI: From Robots to Data Platforms.” Finally, Jangcheol Seo, an executive at LS ELECTRIC, presented examples of AI transformation in the power infrastructure sector and innovation in research and development under the theme “AX-Based R&D and Productivity Innovation.”
Exhibition booths were set up at the venue by the four companies that presented case studies—ANSYS Korea, IBEX Medical Systems, IL and LS ELECTRIC—to showcase their innovative technologies and key products. In particular, IL drew attendees’ interest with a demonstration of a humanoid robot.
After the forum, the attending businesspeople gathered for a networking dinner, where they shared industry-specific technology innovation experiences and AI transformation cases, and discussed opportunities for collaboration among companies.
KOITA plans to continue holding the KOITA Innovation Technology Forum and providing ongoing support to strengthen companies’ technological innovation capabilities and help secure the competitiveness of future industries.
