Everland baby panda Shu Bao will make her public debut starting on the 30th.
Samsung C&T’s Resort Group announced on the 27th that Shu Bao, a baby panda born on June 3, will meet visitors for the first time at Panda World in Everland.
Shu Bao is a female giant panda, born through natural breeding to Ai Bao and Lebao. She weighed 171 grams at birth and now weighs more than 9 kg.
Shu Bao began walking on all fours at around 120 days old. Recently, she has been active near her mother, moving around on her own and exploring her surroundings.
Everland is guiding Shu Bao through a step-by-step acclimation process to help her adjust smoothly to her new environment. She is being given time to get used to her surroundings in an enclosure without visitors. After her debut, Everland plans to gradually extend viewing hours and increase visitor numbers, taking her health and level of adjustment into account.
Meanwhile, Shu Bao’s twin older sisters, Rui Bao and Hui Bao, will begin full quarantine procedures for their transfer to China on the 13th of next month. Their final public appearance at Everland is scheduled for Dec. 11.
As a result, from the 30th through Dec. 11, visitors to Everland will be able to see all five pandas: the parents, Ai Bao and Lebao; the twins, Rui Bao and Hui Bao; and the youngest, Shu Bao.
