What’s the strategy for special-purpose and autonomous private high schools amid the 2028 college admissions reform?...

[Financial News] MegaStudyEdu Co. Ltd. said on the 27th that Mbest, its website for middle school students, will hold the “2027 Final Admissions Strategy Information Session for Foreign Language, International, and Autonomous Private High Schools,” touring three major cities across the country, including Busan, Daejeon, and Seoul, starting on the 31st. The sessions are intended to offer tailored final admissions strategies to middle school students and their parents as they consider applying to foreign language, international, and autonomous private high schools amid changes to the college admissions system.
The sessions will begin at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) on October 31, followed by the KT Human Resources Development Institute in Daejeon on November 1 and the ST Center in Seoul on November 7. All sessions will start at 2 p.m.
The information session will be held in three parts. In the first, Kim Chang-sik, head of Mbest’s Admissions Strategy Research Institute, will analyze the pros and cons of applying to foreign language, international, and autonomous private high schools in light of changes to college admissions, as well as application strategies. In the second, senior researcher Dae Il-ho will discuss how to write a personal statement that turns one’s own experiences into strengths, drawing on examples of successful applicants. In the third, senior researcher Song Jin-ha will present ways to prepare for admissions interviews based on past exam questions.
All attendees will receive a free copy of the “2027 Final Admissions Analysis Guide for Foreign Language, International, and Autonomous Private High Schools.” New members will also receive additional benefits, including one free personal statement editing consultation. Students and parents wishing to attend can register in advance on Mbest’s official website.
